Panoramic Technique

Two great low cost panoramic image stitching programs are PT Assember and PTGui.

PT Assembler

A full detailed website and forum for PT Assembler can be found at http://www.tawbaware.com. The person (Max) who runs the forum and is the developer of the program has stitched together 197 photos to create a 1 giga-pixel image. Using this program I have stitched 22 higher focal length images together to form 1 photo. Since multiple shots are being stitch together this increases the resolution and mega pixel of the image so very sharp prints can be made at larger sizes (i.e 20x30 abd above)

"Stitching images together with PT Assembler gives you complete control over the process. You can choose to "auto-create" a stitched image with little or no manual intervention. Alternatively, you can choose a more manual approach to ensure the absolute highest quality result. And, the two approaches can be also be combined." (Source: www.tawbaware.com)

 PTGui

Over the past year I have been using PT GUI more often than PT Assembler. Both programs allow for a free trial. My preference is currently PTGui.
