Monument Valley 360
Degrees
While on a road trip from
Albuquerque to San Francisco I arrived at Monument
Valley Tribal Park late in the day. I took several shots
from the overlook inside the Park but the overlook was
crowded with photographers and so I decided to travel
down the dirt road into the valley before sunset. I
found a secluded spot and thought it would be a good
place to take several photos including a quick panorama.
Photograph taken from the Brooklyn Bridge on the
Brooklyn side. The roadway that leads to the Tribute
Light is the Brooklyn Bridge outbound traffic from Manhattan. On the far left to the right of
the light flare
is the Statue of Liberty. The pedestrian walkway that
leads to Manhattan is seen on the right.

Aguereberry Point- Death Valley
National Park (3 images)
Photograph taken
my third trip to Death Valley. The dirt road that brings
you to the top can be seen on the right. Aguereberry
Point is by far my favorite spot in the Continental
United States because of the remoteness and the way I
found it.

"Girl in Red 360"
An
experiment with my fisheye lens to combine several
stances of the model into a 360 degree photograph.

Artist Canyon- Death Valley National
Park (22 images)
My brother is
sitting in the middle of the image. This image consists
of 22 photographs. Artist Canyon is a beautiful place
especially at sunset.
Portland, Maine (7 vertical images)
A picturesque
panoramic image from a bridge that spans the
waterway. This was first time in Maine and I walked
perhaps a mile to get this photo. This was a very wide
expanse of land and sea.
Monument Valley(9 images)
This
was taken on my second visit to Monument Valley. I first
learned of the area from watching the movie "The
Searchers" starring John Wayne. Many movies and
commercials have been at Monument Valley. I especially
like the cloud cover in the photo.

Washington DC- Washington Monument and Jefferson
Memorial (3 images)
While I
have seen many images of the Washington Monument and the
Jefferson Memorial separately- I can not recall ever seeing
the two together in a photograph. I was surprised that I
could capture the two places together from area near the
FDR Memorial.
Central Park, New
York City (360 degrees)
Don't know if this is good photograph- but this is one
of my first full 360 degree photographs. When I first stitched
the 25 images and it appeared on my computer screen I
could not believe this was a full 360 degrees even
though I took the photograph. It looks more like
panoramic wide angle shot than a full 360 degree shot.
If one looks on the far right the tree branches of the
tree on the left can be seen wrapping around. The
photograph does show a full 360 degree viewing angle.
Devils Kitchen, NY (4 images)
During the summer of 2005 I
purchased 2 books from Amazon.com (Catskill Region Waterfall Guide,
Catskill Mountain Guide) regarding
the Catskill Park and Forest Preserve. My family has been driving
through this area for over 30 years to get to our cabin located just
outside of the Catskills. With the 2 new books and a map I explored
several new areas.
Devil's Kitchen is an awesome gulf with
precipitous walls and boulders of monstrous size that delves into
Platte Clove beginning at the point where Platte Clove Mountain
crosses over Hell's Hole Creek.
