The Throgs Neck Bridge is a suspension bridge opened on January 11, 1961 carrying Interstate 295 over the East River where it meets the Long Island Sound. The bridge connects the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx with the Bayside section of Queens. It is the newest bridge across the East River and was built to relieve traffic on the adjacent Whitestone Bridge which opened in 1939. (Source: wikipedia.com)

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS: A bridge that leads to the airport named for John F. Kennedy could be renamed for his younger brother, Robert F. Kennedy, the former New York senator assassinated in 1968.
The Triborough Bridge, which is actually a sprawling complex of three bridges, a viaduct and 14 miles of approach roads opened in 1936, connects Manhattan, the Bronx and Queens, where JFK Airport is located.

NEW YORK - Police on Tuesday arrested a teenager accused of writing graffiti on a mural dedicated to Sept. 11 victims that was painted on the wall of a neighborhood bodega.
The 17-year-old suspect, who used the tag name “SIPS,” was charged with criminal mischief and making graffiti, police said. The memorial was tagged with silver, red and white paint on May 19.
The mural was painted by a local artist and was bright blue with the phrase “God Bless America,” a rendering of the twin towers and a portrait of neighborhood firefighter Peter Bielfeld, who died during the 2001 terrorist attack.

After reading several stories of a 9/11 tribute mural being vandalized by graffiti in Olinville I took a drive to the location. The mural is located at the cross streets of Olinville Ave and Thwaites Place in the Bronx and it was in far worst condition than I had thought after reading the articles. It was nearly covered in fresh spray-paint by the vandal. The lettering above the mural could still be read: “God Bless America”. The mural is dedicated to firefighter Peter Bielfeld who was killed in the WTC attacks of September 11th.
While taking photos several people approached me stating they hoped the perpetrator would be caught. One of the people I spoke with in-detail was a 67 year old male who stated he knew the firefighter who the mural is dedicated too. During the conversation he spoke of another mural painted by the same artist that was located several miles away. He said he was going there next and that I should follow him to the location. That mural is located at Union Ave and E 152nd Street and remains vandal-free.
He used a film camera for the photos and a Hagstrom to get to the next location. I used a digital camera and a Tom Tom.

I have stopped buying music on Apple ITunes. I have since moved to the Amazon.com Music service which offers the same price as ITunes. However Amazon.com offers DRM-free music (Digital Rights Management) and the universal MP3 format. Meaning as a Windows user I can play my music which I purchased on the software and hardware that I choose and own. I do NOT have to worry about conversion to another format or whether the music I bought will play. Through Amazon.com it will play. I recommend it 100 percent. I use Amazon.com music on my IPod with no absolutely problem. In fact it is better because it will play in Windows Media Player (as well as the Apple ITunes software).
Over several nights this month, a graffiti vandal stared into the face of Firefighter Peter Bielfeld, who lost his life rushing into the World Trade Center - and coldly spray-painted right over it.

Canon issues basic photo software called Canon Easy PhotoPrint with many of their printers. There are two versions that are available: Easy-PhotoPrint version 3 and Easy-PhotoPrint EX version 1.
The most up-to-date software versions can be downloaded at the link below. You will need to select your Canon hardware and also be sure to select the proper Operating System.

The reason for this post is a friend of mine was having issues with this program after upgrading to Vista. Depending on the Easy-PhotoPrint version they received errors that were related to the files: bjezprn or bjezplus.
The fix I discoverd for the Canon bjezprn or bjezplus errors is to load Windows into Safe Mode (with Networking) and then install the program. I first uninstalled the program through the Control Panel. After installing the program in Safe Mode the program will not work because proper printer drivers are loaded in Safe Mode. After installation reboot Windows. The program should now work as normal.
Further research on the internet showed that the errors bjezprn and bjezplus may extend beyond Canon software. If this is true perhaps the above installation process will work for other software that utilizes these files.
