Nodal Ninja

I use the Nodal Ninja 3 for much of my VR photography. I recommend the Nodal Ninja because of it’s price and quality. While the price of the Nodal Ninja has gone up in the past few years with each upgrade- the quality and function of the Nodal Ninja have also gone up. After briefly reviewing the Nodal Ninja website recently I came across a new upgrade to the Nodal Ninja with an expected launch in January 2009. Just looking at the thumbnail of the new Nodal Ninja I recognized it immediately. It looked very similar to my original Nodal Ninja SPH-1 in which I made several modifications too. I posted the modifications I made to this Nodal Ninja several years back (see page). This particular Nodal Ninja now incorporates a rotator underneath the Nodal Ninja.

While the price of this Nodal Ninja has gone up to $329.95 I would recommend it. While I have not used this particular Nodal Ninja model just knowing the quality of my current Nodal Ninja and the one I made modifications too with similar traits I would put this at the top of the list of all panoramic heads when comparing price and quality.

Unfortunately I lost my original modified Nodal Ninja while hiking in the Catskills (somewhere near this location). If it was not for that lost I would still be using that particular modified panoramic head. Immediately after the lost I then purchased the Nodal Ninja. The Nodal Ninja 3 at this time is my current panoramic tripod head.

Below are links to my recent VR panoramic photography of which was shot with the Nodal Ninja 3 with the optional rail stops.
