Michael Yon, Michael Moore- Iraq War Photo

Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly reported on the O’Reilly Factor that Michael Moore used a photo by photographer Michael Yon without permission and then altered the truth behind the Iraq photo while it was posted on Michael Moore’s website blog.

Megyn Kelly stated on the O’Reilly that

Michael Moore took Michael Yon’s photo and put it up on his website essentially suggesting that American troops were behind this girl’s death when exactly the opposite were true. She was hurt in the result of an insurgent’s improvised device or bomb. He put it up there so his followers can rant about it…Yon writes to him and says take it down… and he can not even get a response from Michael Moore. This was back in the Spring.

The Iraq photo by Michael Yon in question is of a American solider serving in Iraq holding a young Iraqi girl who later died. The photo was voted by Time.com viewers as 2005’s best photo. It was further stated on the O’Reilly Factor that Michael Yon may sue Michael Moore.

The photo and the way it was used on Michael Moore website as a banner is further explained with the link below. The link takes you to Michael Yon’s website.
