Kaaterskill Falls
is the highest two-tiered waterfall in New York state. The trail to
Kaaterskill Falls is located on NYS Route 23A. From the parking area of
Kaaterskill Falls walk to
Bastion Falls which is also the trailhead to the falls. Continue on the
yellow marker trail to the base of Kaaterskill
Falls. Spruce Creek which forms Kaaterskill Falls drops 180 feet in the
upper tier to a small pool. Kaaterskill Falls then
drops 80 feet more to the gorge below. |
